From a very early age, Leslie has always had an interest in photography and people. With the first instamatic Kodak camera with friends and family, to the high school yearbook photographing the schools' clubs and classmates, to technical and commercial training at the University, wedding photography, school pictures, special events crowning her as a Jill-of-all-trades for any of your photography needs. Beginning in 1977 as a wedding trainee for a studio that profited on the volume of weddings and the number of pictures one can take and then branching out on her own in 1980 with over 1,000 weddings behind her, she felt like she had a strong foundation of "people photography". She has spent the last 31 years building on that foundation by listening to what the customer requests and by continuing her education.
Leslie has advanced into the "digital" age as it is a smarter way to provide the client and their family and friends with a greater number of pictures, styles and special effects with very little increase in delivery time and price. Photographing any event digitally allows her to produce simple alterations such as cropping and color enhancement, to converting color photos to black and white, sepia tone, and creating special effects after the fact whereas it all had to be done at the time of the event. It also allows for the production of CDs of the event as well as online viewing, enabling the client to view the pictures and share them with many others easily.
If Leslie has a style, it is as traditional photographer. She believes the traditional photographs are very important, but what makes her different is she goes looking for pictures with ALL the guests. You very rarely see her standing still waiting for something to happen!
